Fiesta Smart Party People!

Ladies and Gentleman...the Ford Fiesta!  That right there is a sleek and sexy little car.  BOLD kinetic design (it always looks like it's moving), FUTURISTIC interior (one point twenty-one gigawatts!!), PACKED with technology (hands-free calling, navigation, voice activated audio controls), YES this car is super fun to drive too! Check out this rad video!  Drift heaven...granted Ken Block has his super whipped out of control- but you get the idea.

Fiesta's are in such high demand right now!  We can't keep them on the lot.  It's the number one selling auto in the United Kingdom (and gas there is uhh how-we-say NOT cheap).  Talk about comfort and space- I'm almost seven feet tall and fit...seriously!  40 m.p.g?? No problem.  The brand new transmission design transfers torque where you need it the most, and never wastes horsepower.  I've sold these to all sorts of folks who require quality, safety and fuel economy.  Aesthetically the Ford Fiesta cannot be beat!  (sorry Versa and Fit, you, my fellow competitors -are not very exciting).  Customized, or straight from the factory.  These cars Rock!  They are the coolest new kids on the block which is why I wanted to start off my blog with talking about them.

Check out those dragon's-eye quad beam halogen headlamps!  That swooping construction of the inverted power dome hood to streamline the airflow over the SoundScreen acoustic laminated windshield (that we took from our F-150 Platinum trucks).  YES the Fiesta is QUIET, smooth, and SAFE.  Check out this video!

Safety features: Advance Trac with Roll Stability Control gives you unparalleled traction with an additional gyroscopic sensor that (along with thousand of sensors in the wheels) puts power to the front wheels and gives you breaking power to the rear wheels.  This technology that Ford has perfected keeps you on your intended turn path (as it relates to your steering angle).  The Fiesta is also made from Boron steel, the strongest and most lightweight steel on the market.  Heck the vehicle even comes equipped with a drivers side knee airbag (a class exclusive feature).

The Fiesta turns heads, it's fun to drive and super cool.  I mean, c'mon the word Party is in the name!  When it sits in your driveway will know that this is the true "Smart Car."  Because the smartest people have the most fun.

Courtesy Ford

Meeting my beautiful wife changed my life in so many wonderful ways, but this blog is not about that (this blog is actually about that car in the background you see).

My goal is to write about being on the ground floor of the automotive business in one of the highest volume dealerships in the country.  My experience here (the ups and downs, the real life dramas) can help educate YOU about what to expect when shopping for a car (or anything for that matter).  Yes, I am a college educated young man working in retail, and there are many reasons for this.  Perhaps I am just blessed to be here.

We ALL have a unique perspective, and through this blog I hope to bridge some gaps between people's misconceptions about car buying and the actual truth.  I promise this won't be a giant advertisement for Courtesy Ford!

Each day I arm myself with product knowledge, sales techniques like how to overcome objections to move people towards the sale (despite "asking for the business" not especially being my favorite part).  I am a trained customer service professional with three years as a concierge and ten years as a ski instructor, SO ALL THIS IS NEW TO ME!  Which makes it fun, crazy, a little weird at times, and at the best times wholeheartedly rewarding.

A few things I have learned in my short year in the car business:

  1. Don't second guess yourself: attitude is everything.
  2. People are saying no to the offer, not to YOU as a person.
  3. You must be prepared to act decisively like a surgeon at the precise moment.  Preparation is Key!
  4. Say everything with a smile...even if it's bad news!
So here are my unadulterated thoughts, all out in the open- on the web.  All I can say is I hope this information is useful.  This specific post is an introduction, there will be more to come and I hope you will join me in finding true passions, growing as a person, and learning to love life despite what you hear on the news.

Signing off,

Jason
